Making Sense of Autism
This session will cover the importance of understanding the individual pupil and their profile strengths and areas for development. You will consider the key areas to help pupils on the autism spectrum build positive relationships with staff, peers, families and people in the community. Delegates will also gain an awareness of the sensory and communication differences that pupils may experience.

Making Sense of Autism
During this session you will identify the four key areas of difference that need to be taken into account when working with pupils on the autistic spectrum. You will consider the importance of individual strengths and areas for development and consider how to help pupils build relationships with a range of people. Delegates will also develop an awareness of the sensory and communication differences experienced by pupils.
