Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction
Rosenshine’s 10 Principles are fast becoming a key plank of evidence-based practice in the classroom. Tom Sherrington has described these principles as ‘the best, most clear and comprehensive guide to evidence informed teaching there is’.
Deliberately timed to take place following the Cognitive Load Theory session, this training focuses on the structure of and thinking behind the 10 Principles of Instruction. You will be supported to understand how to apply the principles to your classroom practice as a tool to promote recall and retention thereby supporting effective and lasting pupil learning.
